About
Hi, I’m Mark
I’m a solutions architect based in the US. I’ve been building software professionally for 30+ years, which means I’ve seen a lot of things go wrong in interesting ways and occasionally seen them go right.
My day job involves Azure, .NET, cloud architecture, and helping teams make decisions they can actually live with six months later. I co-founded Make Bold Solutions with my wife, and I run a portfolio of open-source demos at Make Bold Spark.
What I Actually Do
Mostly I help organizations figure out where complexity belongs in their systems — which is a fancy way of saying I try to make sure the next developer who touches the code doesn’t have to read three years of Slack history to understand why something works the way it does.
Day to day that means:
- Azure architecture and .NET development
- Cloud integration patterns (the boring reliable kind, not the impressive fragile kind)
- AI-assisted delivery — figuring out where it helps and where it just adds noise
- Dragging legacy systems into the present without burning everything down
This Blog
This is not my professional site. That’s markhazleton.com.
This is where I write things down when I figure something out, get something wrong, or just want to think out loud. Topics wander — Jekyll, static sites, .NET, Azure, Docker, AI tools, and the occasional experiment that gets completely out of hand (see: the chaos mode post).
No comments. No newsletter. No algorithm to please. Just posts.
Built With
This site runs on Jekyll and GitHub Pages, with Bootstrap 5 for layout and a dark/light mode toggle that actually works. Part of the Make Bold Spark portfolio.
